我陷入了困境。我正在使用 Ubuntu 11.10 与 XP 的双启动模式。

最初我的触摸板无法工作（有时）。为了解决这个问题，我安装了一些东西。重启后我的 Ubuntu 无法启动！

过去几周我已经安装了几个软件包，所以重新安装操作系统是我最后的选择。有人能帮我以图形模式重新启动吗？

我曾关注本线程中提到的程序也一样。通过该链接，我能够以文本模式重新启动。但之后就没那么幸运了。我无法返回图形模式。

经过一番努力，我终于解决了这个问题。我很高兴在丢失了几个小时的同一个 Ubuntu 上写下这个答案。

如果 Ubuntu 无法启动，则当出现空白屏幕时按Ctrl + Alt + (F1 to F6, anything)或转到恢复模式从命令行进行检查。

然后，我检查了以下文件：

sudo vi /var/log/Xorg.0.log

它会告诉你具体哪里出错了。例如，我在错误编辑的某个文件中就出错了。请参见下面的粗体文本。

我只是删除了那行并重新启动。它再次出现空白屏幕，我只是随机尝试了其他tty部分（例如tty2），通过按Ctrl + Alt + F2，令我惊喜的是，我看到了图形登录屏幕!!!

我刚刚检查了一切是否完好无损。此外，由于升级，我发现可用性发生了一些小变化，但其余部分都很好。这是我在那次灾难之后第一次成功登录，我希望将来能继续顺利登录。

我学到的教训是，为了解决一个小问题，不要进行不必要的升级/更新，浪费你的时间和精力。谢谢。
