我最近从 Unity 迁移到了 Ubuntu MATE 桌面环境。我尝试安装 GNOME 桌面环境。

我遵循以下步骤：

sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-gnome-desktop

在安装过程中gnome-shell，我选择了lightdm。

此外，安装过程中删除了大多数 Unity 软件包ubuntu-gnome-desktop。我还运行了

sudo apt-get remove unity unity-asset-pool unity-control-center unity-control-center-signon unity-gtk-module-common unity-lens* unity-services unity-settings-daemon unity-webapps* unity-voice-service
sudo apt-get remove -- purge ubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get autoremove

我从 MATE 环境注销并在登录欢迎屏幕上选择了 GNOME 环境。但是，之后什么都没有发生。登录屏幕被删除，但 GNOME 环境没有启动。我是否错过了任何步骤，或者显示管理器或图形是否存在问题？

我在 Acer V5-571G 上安装了 Ubunutu 14.04.03 LTS。
