我已通过全新安装升级（从 Trisquel 7.0）到 Trisquel 8.0。

当我连接到打印机（HP LaserJet P1007）时，从设置>打印机（system-config-printer）添加时检测到它，并完成设置；最后询问是否打印测试页，但没有打印。我也尝试过打印文档，但它们没有真正打印出来，系统显示打印成功。

最后我得出结论，这hp-setup是行不通的，设置hp-setup是唯一的方法。因此，我清除了预安装版本的 hplip (3.6.13) 并计划尝试使用（最新）版本 (3.18.9)，网址为HPLIP官方网站。由于还需要插件，hplip-3.18.9-plugin.run因此hplip-3.18.9-plugin.run.asc除了hplip-3.18.9.run.

然后我安装了sudo sh /path/to/hplip-3.18.9.run它需要一些依赖项，其中许多依赖项无法由安装程序安装，我手动安装了它们。这花费了我很多时间来查找和安装依赖项，尽管所有这些依赖项都是免费的并且可以在 Trisiquel 存储库上使用。最后hplip(3.18.9)安装成功。现在，hp-setup（由 hplip 3.18.9 提供）工作正常并且配置/设置 HP 打印机正常。

我完全不知道/理解预安装版本和插件的问题是什么，但这就是我最终使打印机工作的方式。因此，添加作为答案。
