图像标题附加文本在同一行

Question

我正在使用 \includegraphicx 向我的文档添加一个图形。现在我想在图形下添加一个标题和一个较长的说明。

\begin{figure}[h]
\centering
\includegraphics[width=0.5\textwidth]{figure.png}
\caption{This is my short caption for the list of figures}  
This is my longer text fur further information not to be displayed 
in the the table of contents.
\label{img:label}
\end{figure} 

但不幸的是，我的较长的文本被放在标题后的新行中，但我希望直接放在标题后面而不换行。

这可能吗？
