Oracle Linux 6.8 上的 xauth 不断失败，并显示“xauth：锁定授权文件 /root/.Xauthority 时出错”

Question

新安装的 Oracle Linux 6.8（实际上是下面的 RHEL/CentOS 6.8 版本），yum install xorg-x11-xauth，，，xauth list所有xauth generate涉及 $HOME/.Xauthority 文件的 xauth 命令均失败xauth: error in locking authority file /root/.Xauthority。我有以下 3 个文件：

[root@oracle11 ~]# ll .Xauthority*
-rw-------. 1 root root 0 Dec  7 09:45 .Xauthority
-rw-------. 2 root root 0 Dec  7 09:45 .Xauthority-c
-rw-------. 2 root root 0 Dec  7 09:45 .Xauthority-l

经过一番搜索，我发现 .Xauthority 文件的属性是正确的。为什么会发生这种情况？我也尝试使用 root 以外的用户进行这些操作，结果一样。
