sudo apt-get install nvidia-364

该文件已被修改，Community2016 年 5 月 7 日之后没有新的时间戳，但 2016 年 9 月 16 日应该有一个，因为它出现在活动列表中。

今天的答案sudo apt-add-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa是：

 Fresh drivers from upstream, currently shipping Nvidia.

## Current Status

We currently recommend: `nvidia-367`, Nvidia's current long lived branch.
For GeForce 8 and 9 series GPUs use `nvidia-340`
For GeForce 6 and 7 series GPUs use `nvidia-304`

nvidia-370 is the current BETA release!

## What we're working on right now:

- Normal driver updates
- Investigating how to bring this goodness to distro on a cadence.

## WARNINGS:

This PPA is currently in testing, you should be experienced with packaging before you dive in here. Give us a few days to sort out the kinks.

### How you can help:

## Install PTS and benchmark your gear:

    sudo apt-get install phoronix-test-suite

Run the benchmark:

    phoronix-test-suite default-benchmark openarena xonotic tesseract gputest unigine-valley

and then say yes when it asks you to submit your results to openbechmarking.org. Then grab a cup of coffee, it takes a bit for the benchmarks to run. Depending on the version of Ubuntu you're using it might preferable for you to grabs PTS from upstream directly: http://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/?k=downloads

Remember to rerun and resubmit the benchmarks after driver upgrades, this will allow us to gather a bunch of data on performance that we can share with everybody.

根据 Nvidia 驱动程序网站，驱动程序 367.35 和驱动程序 364.19 支持 GTX 960M。较早的驱动程序（例如 340.96）不支持 GTX 960M。

最好使用最新版本的 Ubuntu。如果是 LTS 版本，那么我们应该安装最新的版本。14.04 应该是 14.04.2，14.04.3 将于 8 月底发布。16.04 应该会在 7 月底获得第一个版本 (16.04.1)。这些版本的目的是使版本与 LTS 发布后推出的硬件驱动程序保持同步。

你是如何安装专有视频驱动程序的？有三种方法。（1）安装 Ubuntu 时勾选安装第三方软件的复选框。（2）安装后，我们转到系统设置>软件和更新>附加驱动程序选项卡。（3）我们使用终端并运行此命令

sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall
