HP Stream 13 上的 Intel HD 显卡仅在使用 nomodeset 时才有效

Question

已安装 Ubuntu 16.04 LTS、17.10 和 18.04 alpha。所有这些版本启动时都只是空白屏幕，上面有一些模糊的彩色线条，我无法执行任何操作。

它与 nomodeset 或 i915.modeset=0 配合使用，但显然图形性能很糟糕。我可以忍受，但如果能以某种方式调整屏幕亮度就更好了。我已经尝试过 setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=(some value..)，但它什么也没做。

还有什么我可以尝试让图形正常工作或至少调整屏幕亮度吗？
