CentOS 是 Linux 的变体，因此与 AT&T Unix System V 不共享任何代码。

Linux 内核确实支持许多 System V 系统调用，因此，许多为 System V 编写的软件能够相当容易地移植。如今，我敢打赌，更多的软件首先是为 Linux 编写的，并且然后 或许移植到现代 System V 衍生产品，如 Solaris。

顺便说一下，Linux 还支持很多 BSD 系统调用。与 Unix 和类 Unix 操作系统一样，Linux 就其支持的设施而言是最普世的。

所以，如果你仔细观察的话，Linux 就是 System V。它也是 BSD，但又两者都不是。
