桌面通知中 Unicode 字符的正确显示

在我收到的桌面通知（thunderbird、discord……）中，笑脸和 unicode 字符无法正确显示。最烦人的是不支持法语的 unicode 字符。例如，我收到的是'字符'。有没有办法在 ubuntu 20 中启用桌面通知的 unicode 和笑脸支持？感谢您的回答。
