PS2 Eye Toy 和 Cheese 网络摄像头应用程序

Question

我有一台索尼 PS2 Eye Toy USB 相机。

$ lsusb  | grep Sony
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 054c:0155 Sony Corp.

当我将它插入 Ubuntu 18.04 机器并启动 Cheese 时，没有找到任何设备。

vlc 也看不到该设备。

视频 4 Linux 确实看到了该设备：

但是 fswebcam能够抓取图像（尽管经常出现垂直同步伪影）。

为什么有些应用程序可以看到相机，而其他应用程序却看不到？
