hosts.allow，hosts.deny ：每个服务一条规则？

在相当多地点（一些老的， 一些最近的）指出 tcp-wrappers 配置文件/etc/hosts.allow, /etc/hosts.deny仅允许每个服务一条规则。

在我看来这看起来是错误的，我sshd: <IP SUBNET>在我的里面写了很多行/etc/hosts.allow，它似乎按预期工作（Centos 7）。

我是否误解了上述肯定，或者也许这是旧版本的 tcp-wrappers 中真实存在的情况，或者其他什么？
